Design, build,
and the years
after launch.

Full storefront build

FOUR TO SEVEN WEEKS

Design and build from the ground up on my own theme. I start with the buying path, not the homepage, then work outward until every template a customer can land on is finished.

  • Home, collection, product, cart, search
  • Policy, contact, and 404 pages
  • Section library your team can reuse
  • Two weeks of fixes after launch

Rebuild an existing store

TWO TO FIVE WEEKS

For shops with real orders and a site that's holding them back. Nothing goes live until it beats what you have on the pages that make money.

  • Template-by-template audit first
  • App consolidation into theme code
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals work
  • Staged launch, no dark weekend

White-label theme development

SPRINTS OR RETAINER

For agencies and studios. You bring the design file and the client relationship. I write the Liquid and hand back documented code with your name on it.

  • Figma to Liquid sections
  • Schema and settings design
  • Code review and handover notes
  • Direct line during your QA

Care and small work

MONTHLY

Landing pages for a campaign, a new section, a bug that only shows up on Safari. Sent in, sorted, invoiced monthly.

  • Set hours each month
  • Two-day turnaround on small items
  • Quarterly speed check
  • Unused hours roll one month

How a build actually goes

Call and audit

We share screens and go through the store. I write down what is costing you sales and send it over, whether or not you hire me.

Scope in writing

Page list, section list, timeline, and a fixed price. If the scope grows later, we price the change before it starts.

Build in the open

Work happens on a development theme you can open any time. Weekly notes, no month of silence.

Launch and stay

We publish on a weekday morning. I watch the first orders through, then fix anything the first week turns up.

FAQ

Hiring a Shopify developer: the usual questions

If yours isn't here, ask me on the call. I'd rather answer it early than have it turn up halfway through a build.

How much does a custom Shopify website cost?

A first store on a fixed scope runs roughly $4k to $7k. A rebuild for a shop already taking orders is usually $9k to $18k, because the work is heavier and the risk of getting it wrong is real. Agency sprints start around $3k. You get the exact figure in writing after the call, and it does not move unless you ask for something new.

How long does it take to build a Shopify store?

Four to seven weeks for a full build with a normal catalogue. Rebuilds land between two and five. The code is rarely what holds things up — it is photography, product copy, and shipping decisions, so I tell you in week one exactly what I need from you and when.

Do I need to buy a theme, or do you build from scratch?

I work on my own theme — written from scratch, not purchased from a marketplace. That means faster pages, cleaner code, and no dependency on a third-party developer you cannot reach.

What does it cost?

Every project is scoped individually. A new store build typically starts around a fixed project fee, with optional monthly maintenance. I will send a detailed proposal after our first call — no surprises.

Can you migrate my store from another platform?

Yes. I have migrated stores from WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, and custom setups. Product data, redirects, and SEO basics are handled as part of the migration plan.

What happens after launch?

I offer ongoing maintenance — updates, small changes, performance checks, and priority support. You will never be left with a store you cannot edit or a developer who has gone quiet.
